Practice Manager Security - reset a user's password in Practice Manager Security

There will be times when it is necessary to change a user’s password, for example, where it has been compromised or forgotten For security reasons, it is also advisable to periodically reset all users’ passwords. ​

Note: You must set a new password and cannot reuse an existing password.

Reset a user’s password

  1. Log in to Practice Manager Security as an Administrator user.

  2. In the Users tab, highlight the user record to be edited.

  3. Click Clear Pwd.

  4. Click Yes.

  5. Practice Manager Security will open a window indicating that the user's password has been cleared, click OK.

Set a new password

After a password reset, the next time you log in to a HandiSoft program, a New Password window will appear.

Note: This password is case-sensitive.

  1. Type the password in both the New password and Confirm password fields.

  2. Click OK to open your HandiSoft program.
