Error: 'The specified path is not a valid filesystem path'

When trying to save a document to a folder in Document Manager the below error may occur:

To resolve:

  1. Go to File Explorer and navigate to the location in the error e.g. C:\Hsoft\Doc\DocBase\Clients\CLIENT REF\20YY.

2. Where the folder exists, open Document Manager, right-click on the Client Ref drawer, Synchronise.

3. If the folder does not exist:

  • Search for the folder in the HSoft\Doc\DocBase folder to see if it has been inadvertently moved.

  • Check the Recycle Bin and restore if located.

  • Create the folder in this location with the same path name.


    4. Once the folder is back in the correct path, open Document Manager, right-click on the Client Ref drawer, Synchronise.
