HandiLedger - Replace a master chart file in HandiLedger

HandiLedger uses a master chart file for the chart of accounts for each entity type. If the master chart file becomes corrupted or overwritten, we can provide you with a new master chart file.

If your support analyst has provided a new Master chart file from your support conversation or ticket, follow the steps below.

  1. Log in to MyAccess portal.

  2. Go to the 'I'm A Customer section', and click the link Sign in to MyAccess.

  3. Once logged in, click Ask a question, then click Select a product.

  4. Choose Access HandiSoft.

  5. When the Digital Assistant opens, click Ask a question.

  6. Type your question or that you need a replacement for an entity master chart.

  7. Your conversation can then be escalated to a Support specialist.

  8. The Support specialist will provide the required file via a secure data sharing site.

  9. You can return to MyAccess at any time to view past conversations or those still awaiting resolution.

  10. The file will be called Master.xxx, where xxx will refer to the entity type.

  11. Download it to your desktop or your regular download folder.

  12. If you are using HandiSoft Desktop, navigate to the HSoft\Data\Charts\FourDigit folder.

  13. If you're using HandiSoft Online, navigate to the Z:\Data\Charts\FourDigit folder.

  14. Rename the current file, e.g., for a Trust entity, the file name is Master.trs to Master.trs.OLD.

  15. Copy and paste the replacement Master.xxx file downloaded from the case to the FourDigit folder listed above.
