If the HandiLedger application file is missing, the program will not run.
Start by checking your antivirus software, as the file may have been placed in the Quarantine folder. If the Hlxx.exe file has been quarantined, restore it and add an exclusion for the HSoft folder in your antivirus settings.
If the application file Hlxx.exe is not recoverable, you can:
Copy it from a backup and paste it into the current HSoft database folder, or
Reinstall the full version from the Access HandiSoft Updates website.
After reinstalling, make sure you apply any updates to bring the software up to the latest version.
