HandiTax - Rename the SBR folder and reinstall HandiSoft full version

Notes:

  • If you subscribe to HandiSoft Online, do not refer to the steps below, create a case for support first.

  • If you are unsure about the steps below, refer to your IT provider or the person in charge of installations.

  • If you are using cloud products such as Access Ledger or Access Tax:

    1. Go to Start, Run, Services, look for HandiSoft Data Agent.

    2. Right-click on this service and press Stop before following the steps below.

    3. After the steps below have been completed, please repeat the steps mentioned and press Start on the service to resume the service.

CRITICAL: You must complete steps 10-13.

Create a new SBR folder

  1. Ensure you have a current working backup.

  2. Ensure all users are closed out of all HandiSoft and Microsoft applications.

  3. Navigate to your HSoft\Apps folder.

  4. Locate and rename the SBR folder and put today's date on the end, e.g. rename to “SBR-XX-XX-XXXX”

  5. Reinstall/Run the HandiSoft 20NN v1.00 Full Version installer from website:

  6. Proceed to install in the same HSoft folder.

  7. A new SBR folder containing up-to-date application and configuration files will be installed.

  8. All users should now be using the Access ATO Gateway method of lodgment. Complete the following steps.

  9. Navigate to your HSoft\Apps\SBR<Today's Date> folder.

  10. Open the AAG folder, then right-click Copy on the single file within the AAG folder.

  11. Go to the HSoft\Apps\SBR\AAG folder and right-click+paste the file in.

  12. You and your colleagues can open HandiTax.
