When lodging or prefilling a tax return in HandiTax, an Access Violation error may occur.
Restart the machine that is experiencing the error, then log back in to HandiTax.
Go to Lodgment, Set ATO Credentials.
Click the ellipsis, then re-select the credential from the drop-down menu
Type in your credential password, then click OK.
Restart HandiTax.
Lodge or prefill a return to check it is resolved.
If the issue remains, have all users exit all HandiSoft programs and ensure that you have a current working backup of your HSoft folder.
Open File Explorer.
Navigate to the HSoft\Apps directory on your server drive.
Locate the SBR folder and rename it to SBR<Today's Date>.
Reinstall the HandiTax Version 1.00 Full version.
Install the latest update (where available).
A new SBR folder containing up-to-date application and configuration files will be installed.

ATO Credential Authentication (AS4) lodgment method
If you use the ATO Credential Authentication method of lodgment, you and your colleagues can open HandiTax and attempt the lodgment or prefill.
Access ATO Gateway (AAG) lodgment method
If you use the Access ATO Gateway method of lodgment, you must complete the steps below.
Open File Explorer.Navigate to your HSoft\Apps\SBR<Today's Date> folder.
Open the AAG folder, then right-click Copy on the single file within the AAG folder.
Go to the HSoft\Apps\SBR\AAG folder and right-click paste the file in.
You and your colleagues can log in to HandiTax and lodge or prefill the tax return.
