Trust Details Lodgment Workflow:
β
In the Lodgment menu, an option is available to specifically lodge Trust details via the Batch Push service.
Selecting Batch Lodgment for Trust Details, a message box will prompt the user the following:
Trust Details with status Ready to Lodge will be tagged. This is identified in the Client's Tax Form Details window for the Trust Details return.
Other form types will be untagged.
3. On clicking OK, HandiTax will process the request.
4. Where a Trust Details Return is found, the client will be tagged ready for lodgment. To initiate the Batch Push click on Create SBR.
5. The user will be prompted for their Password for the credentials specified.
6. Once the correct credential password is entered, the user can Submit to engage the Batch Push lodgment process.
7. Once the batch of returns has been successfully pushed and received by the ATO, another connection must be made to the ATO so the response for each of the lodged forms can be received.
8. This response will detail whether each the form has been accepted or rejected. HandiTax will automatically attempt to re-connect to the ATO after a predetermined time.
Check Later - This cancels the time window and takes the user back to the Sage HandiTax main window. The user will have to manually connect to the ATO at a later time. This is done via the menu Lodgment - Pending Validations from Lodgment.
Retrieve - This button immediately initiates the connection to retrieve the response files. This option is not recommended because there will be no response if the ATO has not processed the batch of returns.
Manual Retrieval via Pending Validations from Lodgment
β
When using the Check Later option during the Batch Push transmission, the user must pull the ATO response via the menu Lodgment - Pending Validations from Lodgment.
The user simply highlights the transaction they wish to pull down from the ATO, keys in their password and then click Pull.
Note: For security reasons only the person who lodged the original Batch Push can initiate the Batch Pull.
