You may receive this error message when logging into HandiTax. It displays when the dependencies are not installed on the computer.
To use SBR functionality, carry out the following instructions:
Install dependency in HandiTax
Close out of HandiTax and log back in.
The attention message will appear on startup of HandiTax, indicating that HandiTax is unable to load the SBR Components.
Click Yes to install the dependencies.
Then select the here option shown in the PDF document that will display to Install the SBR Dependency check installer.
A message will display: The dependencies have been successfully installed, and HandiTax opens without the above message displaying.
SBR_DependencyCheck.exe
Another way to install the dependencies is to close all HandiSoft programs.
Open File Explorer and navigate to the HSoft\Apps folder.
Locate the SBR_DependencyCheck.exe file.
Run this and install any programs as required.
If the SBR dependency message still occurs, reinstall the HandiTax year program that is generating the message. The HandiTax programs can be downloaded from Help, About, and Software Updates.
Where the error is only appearing for one year of HandiTax, you can try to rename the HtXXDll.dll file, e.g. if HandiTax 2022 is affected, rename Ht22Dll.dll to H22Dll.dll<TodaysDate> and then reinstall the affected year from the latest full installation instructions.
