Access HandiLedger uses account ranges when it creates reports. An account range is a grouping of account codes from the chart of accounts.
Important: The reports in HandiLedger rely on the account ranges. Therefore, if you modify a chart of accounts, you must comply with the HandiLedger account ranges. If you do not comply, your reports may be out of balance.
Purging the account range table
Purging the account range table ensures your financial statements accurately reflect an entity's financial position.
Log in to HandiLedger, then Select your entity.
Go to View, Chart of Accounts.
In the Chart of Accounts window, click Tools.
Click View account range table.
Click Purge, and Yes to the next two prompts to Remove ALL alias names and Read in a new alias table. Then click Close.
Go to Tools, Verify accounts.
Click Start and then Close on completion.
