HandiSoft Online (on Access Evo) - Access Printers, Local Disk and removable Disk/s within HandiSoft Online

The Citrix Workspace automatically detects Printers, Local Disk and removable Disk/s from within Access HandiSoft Online.

Printers

All printers can be detected within HandiSoft Online on Access Evo (previously called Access Workspace). A default physical printer must first be set on the local computer. Common issues include local printers not appearing in HandiSoft Online or appearing inconsistently. These issues can often be resolved by ensuring proper setup and configuration of your local printer, Citrix Workspace, and HandiSoft Online session.

Printer not displayed

If your printer is still not displayed in the available list, try the following steps:

  1. Fully sign out of HandiSoft Online by selecting the Log Me Off icon or selecting Ctrl+Alt+Del, Sign Out.

  2. Sign out of the browser and close it.

  3. Install any pending Microsoft Windows updates.

  4. Ensure Citrix Workspace is updated to the latest version on your local machine. For further assistance, see Setting up printers for use in Citrix.

  5. Check that your printer driver is installed on your local computer.

Printer Driver

  1. To check the printers installed, navigate to the search icon and type printer.

  2. Select Printers & scanners.

  3. Printers and scanners connected to the current computer will be listed, the default printer will be detected.

  4. When printing from Access HandiSoft programs, a list of available printers will be displayed.

  5. Any printer can be selected from the drop-down list, including printing to PDF.

  6. If printers are still not visible, reinstall the affected printer’s drivers on your Windows PC and restart your computer.

  7. To minimize future issues, always ensure a default printer is set in Windows before starting a HandiSoft Online session and regularly update Windows, Citrix Workspace, and printer drivers.

  8. Each user must configure their printer settings in HandiSoft programs by navigating to Options, Page Setup, Printer, selecting the printer, and clicking OK to save the settings.

Local Disk and Removable Disk/s

Local disk and removable disk/s are detected in Access HandiSoft Online on Access Evo (previously called Access Workspace).

  1. Click on File Explorer (On the bottom toolbar).

  2. Local Disk and Removable Disk will show under Devices and drives.

  3. To access the folders, files or documents, select the Local Disk (C:) Users, User name.

  4. Click on the required folder, file or document to open.

  5. Shortcuts to any local disk, folder or files can be placed on your desktop in Access HandiSoft Online by selecting the folder, right-click, Send to, Desktop (create shortcut).

  6. The created shortcut for the folder or file will be displayed on the desktop for easy access.
