Document Manager - Not able to use the HandiSoft Addin email save option in Outlook for Document manager

Cannot save emails from Outlook using the HandiSoft Addin

If you have the HandiSoft Addin option enabled in Microsoft Outlook, but find you are unable to save an email, this may be due to the subject line being too long, or a file with the same name already exists.

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook, then select the email.

  2. Go to File, Save As.

  3. Navigate to the HandiSoft folder, or the location of your Watch Directory.

  4. Click in the File name field and shorten the text if too long, then click Save.

  5. If the Error: 'Destination file already exists or Source file not found' occurs, change to a unique file name, then click Save.

  6. Once you have shortened or changed the file name, open Document Manager, you should now have the option to file the email into the client's folder.
