Warning messages are intended to alert you that corrective action may be required, as the data entered or not entered into the income tax return may not be correct.
β
Warning messages, unlike SBR errors or prior year validation errors, do not prevent lodgement of the income tax return, as they are only indicative of a potential issue.
β
The ATO provides Software Developers with the bulk of these warning messages to be implemented in the software.
β
Due to the nature and double checking of some warnings, they cannot always be cleared and, as mentioned earlier, do not have to be for lodgement. For this reason, HandiTax gives you the ability not to print these warnings when printing out the Income Tax Return for your clients.
β
From the Options menu, click Tax Form Options.
In the Tax Form Options window, clear/untick the Print Warnings check box.
Note: Warnings will always appear in the Error Navigator. This feature only stops them from being printed.
