In the current year HandiTax go to Help, About.
Take note of the Licensed To and Customer ID No.
Take note of the location of the Hsoft folder.
Navigate to the Hsoft folder.
Rename the HsXX.ind file to HsXX.indOLD (*XX denotes the year of the issue program)
Open the HandiTax program that generated the expiry message.
You will be prompted to download a new index file. Select Download and Ok.
Enter your Client ID details as noted earlier and select OK.
The program should now open without the error.
If you're unable to see the file extensions, in File Explorer under View, in the Show/hide group, select the File name extensions check box.
