When using the collate functionality in Document Manager, you may receive the following error relating to PDF documents, PDF Security forbids saving of document.
The message may appear due to:
the original PDF document is being saved using Read Only.
the original PDF document is being saved using Password protection.
Document Manager requires an update.
Check the document properties
Open the PDF document.
Go to File, Properties, Security tab. The Document Security and Document Restrictions Summary area will advise the document settings.
It will look similar to the example below. A read-only document will show most options, including Document Assembly as ‘Not Allowed’.
To resolve
Generate and save the PDF document again without Read Only or Password protected checked prior to collating.
Rename the Compile folder located in the \HSoft\Doc\Compile\ directory to Compile_1 and create a new Compile folder.
