Regular maintenance is required to maintain your Document Manager database. We recommend removing any Document Manager folders older than two years old.

When using the bulk removal process below, if documents exist, a yellow folder is created, and the documents are placed within. If you choose to delete folders individually from the client cabinets using any another method, ie. the keyboard delete key, all the contents within the folder is deleted.

Delete folders from your cabinets
Back up your HandiSoft data before performing this process on your server. We suggest running the process overnight to minimise disruption to users.
Log in to Document Manager as the Administrator user.
Go to Tools, Synchronise, All, Ok.
Click OK to confirm your system is in order.
Go to Tools, Create Client Folder.
Select the folder to remove, Delete. Repeat for each folder you need to delete.
7. Click Ok then OK again to confirm.
8. Click OK, then Yes to apply the changes.

9. Go to Tools, Synchronise, All, Ok.
10. Click OK to confirm your system is in order.
11. Confirm the folders you have deleted have been removed from your folder structure. If documents did exist in these folders, they are now located in a yellow folder.
