HandiTax - Error Unable to open HandiTax as opened in another version of HandiSoft

To resolve this issue:

  1. Exit out of Practice Manager – Contact or HandiSoft as well as HandiTax.

  2. Open the Hsoft, Apps folder on the server drive

  3. Scroll down the Type column and under the Type Application locate and open the HandiTax program with the issue. For example, if it is HandiTax 2022 then you will locate Ht22.exe

  4. Locate and select the client you require

  5. You can continue working in HandiTax as it is the correct database, and close at the end of your required review
