HandiTax - Error Range check error

When trying to select a client the message "Range check error" appears and is only happening in HandiTax, the user is able to access client in another HandiSoft program.

Cause
​
Prefill path pointing to wrong location in the HandiTax prior year program.

  1. In the HandiTax year the error is occurring navigate to Options, Tax Form Options.

  2. Under the Prefill Report check the location of the path, this should be pointing to the Hsoft\Doc\Portal.


Example:

3. Once the path is pointing to the correct location the user should now be able to select the client in that HandiTax year.

4. If using HandiSoftOnline the prefill path in HandiTax 20YY should be set to \\cloud-au\auprmydesk\HSO_App\XXX111\Apps\Doc\Portal where XXX111 represents the HandiSoft reference code.
