When updating company details in HandiRegister, the following error can occur if the Australian Company Number (ACN) is not unique.
Log in to HandiRegister and click Find.
Enter the ACN then, click Close.
Where the Client Ref in the error does not exist in HandiRegister or Practice Manager\HandiSoft, complete the steps below to resolve.
Note: The example below demonstrates trying to update client AAAA0001, and the error points to client EDGE0009, we will change the Client Ref and ACN in the steps below to the relevant details.
Ensure you have a recent working backup.
Log in to Practice Manager\HandiSoft and create a new client with the ref EDGE0009. You can just enter a name and client ref, there is no need for other details.
In HandiRegister, delete the client AAAA0001 - All data and Company Record.
Add the client EDGE0009 to HandiRegister, including ACN.
Delete the client EDGE0009 from HandiRegister - All data and Company Record.
Add back the client AAAA0001 to HandiRegister.
Complete an RA71 for AAAA0001 to match ASIC records.
