Important: The ATO implemented a change on 15 May 2025, which we have integrated into our upcoming release. While we acknowledge that the timing is less than ideal, the brief notice provided to software producers has exacerbated the situation. It is true that the ATO's current guidance is accurate, and lodgments can be submitted without issue. However, the limited notice period afforded to software developers is inadequate. We are preparing to release an update shortly to ensure compliance with the ATO's change effective from 15 May 2025.
Note: The ATO advises that the returns can be submitted with the upgraded SBR package. If the lodgment of the SMSF form is urgent, we recommend contacting the ATO for advice.
Once you have installed the 2025 package, HandiTax 2024 V2.00 will also have been installed, allowing the lodgment of these forms.
When was the 2025 update available?
Desktop software was released Thursday 19 June, which updated HandiTax 2024 to V2.00.
HandiSoft Online (managed service) was upgraded 20-22 June, which included HandiTax 2024 V2.00.
Access Tax was upgraded to 2025 on Thursday 26 June.
