Export HandiLedger data
Log in to HandiLedger, highlight the entity, then click Select.
Go to Tools, Copy Selected Entity to Disk, Windows HandiLedger Data.
Tick the required year/s.
Send files to:
Save to disk - The ledger files will be copied to the drive and directory you will specify in the Browse window after clicking Ok.
Email Recipient - The ledger files will be compressed into a single zip file, which is attached to a Microsoft Outlook email.
Click Save.
Note: The file created can only be used in the same version of another HandiLedger program. If the Client Reference code matches in both programs, you should change a client's reference code to ensure data is not overwritten.
Merge HandiLedger data
This option is used to merge an entity's data exported from another HandiLedger program. The data can also be received as a file attached to an email message. The HandiLedger file will need to be saved onto your computer first.
Go to Tools, Merge Ledger Data from Disk.
Select the Zip File to merge, and click Open.
If you receive the below message and select OK, it will overwrite your entity's data with the saved file.
Click OK to begin the merge process.
If you can't merge the entity data, check whether another entity in your database is using the same ABN.
Entity accidentally deleted
If an entity has been accidentally removed from HandiLedger, you can attempt to restore the deleted entity before restoring from a backup.
