HandiAsset data can easily be exported and imported into another database. You may need to do this when a support analyst has requested your data to investigate your case, or if you want to work on the data on a non-networked computer or laptop.
Export HandiAsset data
Open HandiAsset, then select the entity and relevant year.
Go to Tools, Copy Selected Entity To Disk.
Tick Compress into one file, then choose:
Select drive/directory, click Ok, choose a location to save the file, then click OK, or
Email Recipient, click Ok, complete the email as requested, then Send.
The file name will be HA_CLIENTREF_20XX.zip.
Import HandiAsset data
Ensure you have HandiAsset installed, and the HandiAsset data file saved on the computer.
Open HandiAsset.
Go to Tools, Merge Selected Entity From Disk, click Ok.
Select the HA_CLIENTREF_20XX.zip file to import, and click Open.
To override and update the data on your receiving computer, click Ok.
Once successfully merged, click OK.
