Windows Search builds a full-text index of files on a computer, and uses the index to search for results.
Enable Windows Search
Log in to any HandiSoft program on the server machine, then press F10 to launch Document Manager.
Tip: Windows Search must be enabled on the server.Go to Options, Document Indexing.
In the Search Configuration window, tick Enable Windows Search for Document Manager.
Complete the Settings section.
The Local path to DocBase folder is the path to the DocBase folder if it is on the local computer.
The Network (UNC) path to DocBase folder is the path to the DocBase folder, if it is on a server accessed over a network.
Click Apply and Close.
Note:
The Network path for users, should be the UNC path rather than the mapped drive as different workstations may have different mapped drives, but the same UNC path.
