A transaction will not be able to be deleted if your Ruling Body is the Society of CPA's or the Institute of CA's. The Ruling Body, which is selected when HandiTrust is initially set up and dictates HandiTrust's behaviour. This setting can be checked by going to the Options menu and clicking Ruling Body. If no Ruling Body Type is set, you have the ability to control how HandiTrust behaves. The Ruling Body Type determines which settings in the Rules section you can alter.
Deleting and reversing transactions in HandiTrust
If the Ruling Body Type prevents the deletions of transactions, they need to be reversed.

To delete a transaction:
From the View menu, click Transactions.
On the Transactions window, highlight the transaction to be deleted.
Click Delete. (The Delete button will not appear on your screen if your Ruling Body Type prevents the deletion of transactions).
Click OK.
Reversing a transaction
To reverse a transaction:
From the View menu, click Transactions.
On the Transactions window, highlight the required transaction.
Click Reverse. (The Reverse button will not appear on your screen if your Ruling Body Type allows the deletion of transactions).
Click OK.
The transaction has now been removed into the Reversed Transaction area and will not be visible when you view a trust card or print standard reports.
Note: Reversed transactions and can be viewed by going to the Reports menu and clicking Transactions and then Reversed Transactions. They can also be accessed from the View menu and by clicking Reversed Transactions.
