Practice Manager Security - Purge or delete log files in Practice Manager Security

Note: Ensure you have a working backup before running the steps below.

Before deleting your logs, run a report and export it to PDF, Word, or Excel if you need to keep any logs for your records.


Export reports

  1. Log in to Practice Manager Security as the Administrator.

  2. Go to Reports, Logs.

  3. Choose your preferences, and then click Run.

  4. Go to File, Export to PDF or Export to Word, or Export to Excel to make a copy of your logs if you want to keep these.

Purge

  1. Log in to Practice Manager Security as the Administrator.

  2. Go to File, Log Viewer.

  3. Press the Purge button, and then follow prompts to delete log records.

  4. On the Delete Log Records, select the required options.

  5. For ODB clients (non-SQL), you can use the steps below and also tick the Rebuild Log table to compact the database after deletion (Ensure all users are closed out), then press Ok.
