ID section of "Client Details" window
The ID section of the "Client Details" window, allows you to indicate the Partner, Manager, Staff member and Office Assigned to the clients, and whether the client is a Current client.
The Partner, Manager, and Staff drop down lists are generated from the Users list. The Users list can be accessed from the View menu by clicking Users. By default all Users are assigned as Staff. Managers and Partners need to be annotated by selecting the relevant option in the "Select a User" window.

Similarly, the Office drop down list is generated from the Offices list. The Office list can be accessed from the menu by selecting View, Offices.
Note: In HandiTax the "Users" and "Offices" windows are accessed from the Client menu rather than the View menu.
Batch updating the Client ID section of the "Client Details" window in Practice Manager - Contact
Practice Manager - Contact allows you to change the Partner, Manager, Staff, and / or Office Client ID's in batches.

Old Partner, Manager, Staff and / or Office can be updated to New Partner, Manager, Staff, and / or Office, or you can merely allocate Clients that have no Partner, Manager, Staff, and / or Office a Client ID.

Make sure you have made a backup of your data.
From the Client menu click Update.
In the Batch Update Clients window:
In Old Partner, Old Manager, Old Staff and/ or Old Office, select the Partner, Manager, Staff member and/or Office from which the clients are to be removed.
In New Partner, New Manager, New Staff and/ or New Office, select the Partner, Manager, Staff member and/or Office to which the clients are to be allocated.
4. In the Change section, select the client grouping to be changed, and click OK
5. An "Attention" window will outline the changes, and you need to click Yes for the changes to take place.
