HandiSoft - Installation failing due to unzip32.dll error

This error can occur when a person or program is still accessing HandiSoft in some way while the installation process is taking place. To resolve this issue, ensure all users are closed out of HandiSoft and Microsoft Products, the error still persists, try restarting the server or If you are using cloud products such as Access Tax, Access Ledger etc. please see the below steps.

  1. In Windows, go down and click on the search bar and type in Services and select it from the search results.

  2. Scroll through the list of services and find HandiSoft Data Agent.

  3. Right-click on the HandiSoft Data Agent service and click Stop.

  4. Try running the installation process again to see if it works.

  5. If it works, go back to Services and right-click on the HandiSoft Data Agent service and click Run.

If this error appears when opening the programs after installation, a restart of the PC may be required to clear the errors.
