If you received one of the following errors when installing updates, you may need to temporarily disable the HSDA service.
Error: The following file is in use and cannot be updated: \HSoft\Apps\HDASLxx.exe.
Error: The following file is in use and cannot be updated \HSoft\Apps\HSDA.exe.
If your practice is licenced for Access Ledger, Access Tax or Access Practice Management, the HSDA service may be used. If you aren't licensed for the above and the error still occurs, you can still temporarily disable the HSDA to install the programs and then re-enable the HSDA service.

You'll need to stop the HandiSoft Data Agent service directory on the local server and then resume the service after the install.
From your server machine, locate your Computer Management.
Select Services and Applications and click Services.
Find the Service - HandiSoft Data Agent.
Right-click on HandiSoft Data Agent and select Stop.
When the installation has been completed, right-click on HandiSoft Data Agent and select Start.
