HandiTax - How do I record notes next to specific items on the client's tax return?

Adding notes to the client's tax return

  1. Select the Item to which you want to add the note and click Notes on the bottom menu bar of the tax return.

  2. In the Item Notes window, type your note and click Save.

Notes:

  • The notes attached to the return will print out at the end of the Worksheet copy.

  • These notes are not lodged with the tax return.

  • Notes can be rolled over from one year to the next.

  • The tax return item will be designated with a Note icon, which can be opened with a double click.
