HandiTax - How do I create prior year activity statements?

HandiTax allows you to create and lodge prior year activity statements in the current year.

  1. Go to Clients, click Open Clients/ Tax Forms

  2. In the Clients and their Tax Forms window, highlight the client's name and click on Tax Forms and New

  3. In the Client Tax Form Details window, click on the drop-down arrow for Form type, and select the specific Activity Statement type, e.g. BAS

  4. Click Save

  5. In the Activity Statement-Selection window, click the Prior Periods tab, select the BAS/IAS type, enter the End Date of the activity statement and click OK.

In the example above the BAS will have a start date of 01/04/2016 and an end date of 30/06/2016.

The Tax Forms Detail window will reflect this as the Period Start and Period End Dates, and will have a sequence of Qtr4-16.
