Adding or creating a creditor

The Bills (Creditors) area of Access HandiLedger allows you to Record bills payable, the payment of those bills and bill adjustments, Print Cheques, Produce an Aged Creditors report, Creditors History Report and Creditors Listing report. Before you can begin to record sales information, you must create the Creditor records and any associated Opening Balances.

Creditors can be created from two areas within the system:

  • Go to Entity, Creditors; or

  • During the creation of a bill or payment or purchase order.

Both methods will take you to the Creditors window, also known as the Select Vendor window.

The Select Vendor window is accessed when completing a transaction within the system. In a field requesting a supplier reference code, you can either click the ellipsis button or press F2 to bring up this window.

Creating a Creditor:

  1. Go to Entity, Creditors to open the Creditors window.

  2. Click New. This opens the Creditors (detail) window.

  3. Add the required information.
