To resolve this 'Error zipping files for lodgment\retrieval', in HandiTax SQL, check the following:
Check that the Clients Tax Form Details window has ‘Lodge By ELS’ selected.
Go to the Options menu and select ELS Communications. Ensure the ‘ELS Folder’ shown here is the same as shown in the current year HandiTax. This path must be the same in all years.
Note: The ELS Folder field is only available in the SQL version of HandiTax.
Map the local drive
You will need to type in a mapped drive or a local drive. This is a global setting and must be relevant for all users who lodge. If you have migrated to HandiSoft Online and it's still showing the old folder path, change it to Z:\ELS to rectify the error.
Standardised Network mapping is encouraged, even if on an RDS \Terminal server. The path MUST start with a letter.
When you enter the path, the browse button may not work as required. It converts it to a UNC, which we don’t want. Users may need to type the path in this location. For example T:\HSoft\ELS.
