When you enter a value for the natural increase in livestock, HandiLedger does not reflect a value under Natural Increase. Entering the natural increase changes the value of the average stock.
β
In the sheep example below, using a natural Increase amount of $20.00, the average cost is calculated by taking 25 sheep x $20 = $500, which is then added to the $60,000 and divided by 105 sheep to get an average cost of $576.19. The closing stock amount uses this average cost amount.
Losses will also affect the average cost.
