In HandiLedger you can create a master chart that can be used by your firm.
Create a Master Chart
Log in to HandiLedger and Select the entity that has a customised chart of accounts you would like to copy.
From the Tools Menu, click Chart of Account Tools.
Click Make a master chart using the selected entity’s chart.
Type the file name for your new master chart.
Click Save.
After processing has concluded, click Cancel.
You can then attach this customised master chart of accounts to any other existing or new entity in HandiLedger
Assign a customised Master Chart of Accounts to another entity
For an existing entity, you can delete the existing Master Chart of Accounts and attach your customised Master Chart of Accounts.
Log in to HandiLedger and Select the entity.
Click Delete, the Delete main data window will open.
Tick Chart of Accounts only, and click Ok.
The entity should still be highlighted. Click Select again. The Select a master chart window will open.
Highlight your customised Master Chart of Accounts.
Click Open.
From the Tools on the main menu and select Verify Accounts.
Click Start and click Close once the verify process is completed.
Note: This will automatically add any missing account codes currently in use for the entity in the chart of accounts. Any accounts added through the verification will require you to add the description to the Chart of Accounts.
