HandiTax - The client you transmitted is not associated with the agent number in HandiTax

  1. Log in to HandiTax.

  2. Go to Options, Tax Form Options, to see if the tax agent name or number is correct and up to date.

  3. If you are lodging in prior years of HandiTax, you can compare this with the latest year of HandiTax software, as details may have changed over time and may require an index file update.

  4. Click the Tax forms button, highlight the tax return, then click Edit. You will see the Agent drop-down menu to verify the Tax Agent Name/Number is correct for that particular tax return.

  5. If the above details are correct, use the ATO Tax Agent Portal to confirm that you are the current tax agent for this client or return. Contact the ATO for further advice if unsure.
