HandiTax - Request and Download the Income Tax Client Report in HandiTax

In HandiTax, the Income Tax Client Report combines the ELS Client List and the Due Lodgment Report. It displays taxpayers linked to your registered agent number for income tax lodgments.

The report includes the following client details:

  • Tax File Number

  • Client Type

  • Client First Name

  • Client Surname

  • Client Organisation Name

  • Substituted Account Period (SAP)

  • Lodgment Method

  • Lodgment Status

  • Current Financial Year Lodgment Due Date

Request the Income Tax Client Report

  1. Log in to the current HandiTax program, then go to the ATO Reports menu.

  2. Click Income Tax Client Report.

  3. Select Practice or Filter Clients.

  4. Enter your Credential Password, then click Request.

View the Income Tax Client Report

  1. When you receive the report from the ATO, go to ATO Reports.

  2. Click View ATO Reports.

  3. Select Income Tax Client Report, then click View.

Compare the Income Tax Client Report

  1. Click Compare to use the Income Tax Client Report to generate a report that compares your HandiTax client list with that of the ATO.

  2. This displays the following client records:

    1. In the ATO client list, but not in your HandiTax client list.

    2. In your HandiTax client list, but not in the ATO client list.

    3. In both your HandiTax and ATO client list.

  3. Choose from the options available, then click Update.

  4. Click Show Differences or OK to process the request.

Tag clients on the report

You can use the ATO Income Client Tax report to generate a report that lists all clients with a lodgment status of Not Lodged or Not Received.

  1. Go to ATO Reports, click View ATO Reports.

  2. Select Income Tax Client Report, then click Due Lodgments.

  3. Review the report preview. When you close the window, you will be prompted to tag clients listed in the report.

  4. Click Yes to tag the clients.
