Your computer may need the ATO's browser extension enabled before creating a machine credential. If required, you will need to:
Download the browser extension
Install the browser extension
Enable the browser extension
Important: If you are using HandiSoft Online, please complete these steps outside of the Citrix environment.
Download the browser extension
Click on the link: info.authorisationmanager.gov.au
Select Windows (ZIP 2.8MB) for Chrome and Firefox.
Exit out of all browser windows.
Install the browser extension
Go to your Downloads folder, then double-click on ATOBEInstaller.exe.
If you receive a Windows security message click more info, review, then click Run Anyway.
The ATOBE Installer will open. Click I Agree to continue.
If an error message appears, close all browsers and click Retry.
Click Close when the installation is complete.
Click OK.
Enable the browser extension
In Chrome
On your computer, open the Chrome browser.
At the top right, click on the three-dot menu icon and select Extensions, Manage Extensions.
Find the extension called ATOBE.
Use the toggle button to enable it.
In Firefox
On your computer, open your Firefox browser.
Click on the Menu button, then click on Add-ons (Ctrl+Shift+A).
Ensure Extensions is selected on the left-hand panel.
Find the extension called ATOBE.
Click on the ATOBE extension and use the toggle to enable it.
