For HandiSoft desktop users, when attempting to download a new index file, if you are receiving either of the following errors:
'Unable to download the new index file: Socket Error #10060. Connection timed out'
'Unable to download the new index file: Read time out.'
'Unable to download the new index file: HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error'
Open File Explorer, then navigate to the HSoft folder.
Locate the hs2X.ind file, then rename it to hs2X.indOLD (*X repress the year, i.e. hs25.ind).
Open your HandiSoft program again, and you will be prompted to download a new index file.
Choose Download, then click OK.
Enter your Client Reference Code and 5-digit Customer Identification Number, then click OK to proceed with the download.
