HandiTax - Send data to HandiSoft support in HandiTax

If you need help resolving SBR errors, you can upload your data to the HandiSoft Support Team using a secure file transfer platform.

Copy the data files

  1. Log in to HandiTax.

  2. Tag the client return(s) and include all related returns, e.g. Spouse, Trust, and Beneficiaries.

  3. Press F6 to review the tagged returns.

  4. Go to Tools, Copy tagged clients to disk/email, Disk/Directory, click Browse to select a location to save the files e.g. Desktop.

  5. Save the files.

  6. The files will be called Clients.nnd and Returns.nnd. (where nn relates to the HandiTax year e.g. HandiTax 2025 files will be called Clients.25d and Returns.25d).

Create the error report

To investigate SBR errors or ATO rejections, we will also require the error report.

If the return contains SBR errors:

  1. Log in to HandiTax and select the return.

  2. Click Errors to produce the SBR errors report.

  3. Click Report, Open As PDF.

  4. Save the report to your desktop.

If the return is rejected:

  1. Log in to HandiTax, then go to Reports, Report Navigator.

  2. From the SBR Lodgments tab, highlight the rejected lodgment, click View, Open As PDF.

  3. Save the report to your desktop.

Upload data files to a Support specialist

  1. Log in to the MyAccess portal.

  2. Go to the I'm A Customer section, and click the link Sign in to MyAccess.

  3. Click Ask a question, then click Select a product.

  4. Choose the product you need help with.

  5. When the Digital Assistant opens, click Ask a question.

  6. Type your question or what you need help with, for example, a task, an error, or a product feature.

  7. If the Digital Assistant can’t solve your query or it’s not what you were looking for, your conversation can be escalated to a Support specialist.

The Support specialist will provide a secure URL and password for uploading the required data files. You can return to MyAccess at any time to view past conversations or those still awaiting resolution.
