HandiTax allows users to perform a test lodgment. This test ensures there are no connection issues and that the ATO will accept the lodgment. A test lodgment will NOT be processed by the ATO.
Log in to HandiTax.
Tag a return that is SBR error-free and ready to lodge.
Go to Lodgment, Lodge Tagged Clients.
Tick SBR PreLodge.
Click Create SBR, enter your password and click Submit.
A prompt will appear indicating that this is a test lodgment and will not be assessed or transmitted to the ATO. Confirm to continue.
Ensure there are no validation errors in the return (e.g., missing declaration date). Validation errors must be corrected before proceeding with the test lodgment.
