Activate Tax Data
Log in to HandiTax, then go to the Options menu.
Select Tax Form Options.
In the Automatic section, select the Alias data map checkbox.
Once done, click OK to close the Tax Form Options window.
By selecting the Alias data map option, HandiTax will generate data while you work on new Tax Returns within HandiTax. This data is a key element for Access Evo and Access Copilot, streamlining and improving your workflows.
Of course, new returns that you work on are only part of the Tax Return data. Your firm likely has many previously completed returns that were finalised before activating the Alias data map option.
Create data for the completed returns
Log in to HandiTax, then go to the Client menu.
Select Recalculate Clients Tax Details to open the Client Expressions window.
Find and click the #All expression and then click Select.
HandiTax will recalculate all your tax returns and populate the data required for Access Evo.
Notes:
For firms with a substantial number of returns in the product, we suggest running this process directly from the server. Additionally, you may wish to ask your staff to exit HandiTax while this process is running.
If you require Access Evo to report across multiple years of tax data, please complete this activity in HandiTax from 2020 to the present day.
