Updated over 2 months ago

HandiTax allows you to display a summary report of the tax return, with the option to display the current and prior years' summary data in a single report. This report is useful when interviewing a client, reviewing their position, or even saving you from having to make a copy of their prior return to compare figures.

The Summary report

  1. Log in to HandiTax.

  2. Select the client and open the tax return.

  3. Click Summary.

Print the Summary Report

  1. Log in to HandiTax.

  2. Go to the Edit menu, click Print Tax Returns or press F9.

  3. Tick the Include Summary report checkbox, and print when required.

  4. You can also go to Options, Tax Form Options and tick the checkbox for Custom client copy options, then click Custom.

  5. Locate the Summary report and enter a 1 in the Number of copies column.

  6. If you do not want the Summary report to print, change the 1 to a 0 (zero).

Notes:

  • Details must be available in the prior year's tax return, and you need to have done the Recalculation of Clients' Tax Details in the prior year. This is usually done at the beginning of the year when you roll forward your clients to the current year; however, you can do the Recalculation of Client Tax Details at any time.

  • Prior year comparison figures are available for Individual, Company, Partnership and Trust returns; however, SMSF returns only display the current year.
