When Practice Manager Security is enabled, you can log in to the relevant year of Practice Manager Security (each year of Security is linked to each year of HandiTax) and follow the steps below to disable the lodgment of tax returns:
Log in to Practice Manager Security as the Administrator user, or a member of the Administrator group.
Go to Groups and locate the Group that the user is a member of.
Press Edit.
Go to the HandiTax tab. If the tab doesn't appear, ensure you have it ticked Apply to programs area above.
Expand the Lodgment permission by clicking the arrow on the left.
Untick Lodged Tagged Clients, then click OK.
If you do not need the user group to prefill either, uncheck the option for Perform SBR Prefill.
Click Apply, then OK.
Click Yes if you would like to update prior versions with these changes.
Note: Get users to log out and back into HandiTax for the changes to update.
