HandiTax - Remove the Fee from Refund option for tagged clients in HandiTax

In HandiTax, you can enable or disable the Fee from Refund option. When set, HandiTax will prefill the agent address and trust account details.

โ€‹To see which clients have the Fee from Refund option set:

  1. Log in to HandiTax.

  2. Go to Reports, Client and click on Client list abbreviated.

  3. Locate the Fee From Refund client expression, click Select then OK.

  4. Any clients that appear in the report will have Fee from Refund enabled. Click Close when you have finished reviewing the report.

Tag clients identified in the report using Report Builder:

  1. Go to Reports, Report Builder.

  2. Click the Return Selections tab and select which tax forms to include and click the right arrow button to add it to the selected form types box, tick Include all form types if you want all form types selected.

  3. In the Lodgment section, set the Status range as Not Started to Ready to Lodge.

  4. Click on the Ellipsis button next to Filter / Expression, locate the Fee From Refund client expression, and click Select.

  5. Tick Prompt to Tag clients, then click Run Report.

  6. Review and Close the report.

  7. You will be prompted to tag those listed on the report, select Yes.

Remove the Fee from Refund option for tagged clients:

  1. Go to Clients, Update tagged client's details, Fee from Refund.

  2. Select CLEAR Fee from Refund option.

  3. Click OK and then OK again.

  4. All Tagged clients will now have the Fee from Refund option disabled.

Set the Fee from Refund option for new tax forms automatically:

  1. Go to Options, Tax Form Options.

  2. In the New Tax Form/Client Defaults section, untick Client fee and then OK.
