HandiTax - Licence has expired message in prior years but can access current years in HandiTax

In the current year, HandiTax go to Help, About.

  • Take note of the Licensed To and Customer ID No.

  • Take note of the location of the HSoft folder.

  1. Open File Explorer.

  2. Navigate to the HSoft folder.

  3. Rename the HsXX.ind file to HsXX.indOLD (*XX denotes the year of the issue program).

    • If you're unable to see the file extensions, in File Explorer under View, in the Show/hide group, select the File name extensions check box.

  4. Open the HandiTax program that generated the expiry message.

  5. You will be prompted to download a new index file. Select Download and Ok.

  6. Enter your Client ID details as noted earlier and select OK.

  7. The program should now open without the error.

Note: If the expiry error message only occurs for HandiTax 2016, use the Digital Assistant in MyAccess portal to request assistance from a support specialist.
