HandiTax - Apply prior year business losses in the Business Worksheet in HandiTax

The deferred prior year losses can be applied within the business worksheet by selecting the relevant expense item.

  1. Log in to HandiTax.

  2. Locate your client and select their tax return.

  3. From the Tax Return Outline, highlight the Business worksheet, then click Edit.

  4. Scroll to the Expenses section, then click Edit.

  5. In the Account code field, press F5.

  6. Locate and double-click on Deferred prior losses 53.

  7. The amount entered will transfer to Item P8 - Deferred non-commercial business losses from a prior year.
