HandiLedger - Depreciation amounts are negative in HandiLedger

If depreciation is showing as a negative value on the Depreciation Report or your Trial Balance doesn’t add up, check the Asset Detail (Active Asset) window to make sure all required fields are completed.

  1. Log in to HandiLedger and Select your entity.

  2. Go to View, then Depreciation Schedule.

  3. Click Asset, locate the asset, then click View.

  4. Confirm the following fields are entered:

    • Historical Cost

    • Acquisition Cost

    • Total Cost

These values are needed for the depreciation expense to calculate correctly.
