To resolve this error, please follow the steps below:
Note: This is not applicable in HandiTax 2024.
Open the tax return and go into the Main Form.
Scroll down to Item 13.
Check the distribution type entered in the middle selection box.
Press F1 while in the box for more information.
5. If there is a distribution type selected and you are still getting the error, ensure there are no fields for another partnership or trust incorrectly completed, as the program will think that it is a separate partnership or trust and will also expect a distribution type code to be completed.
