To use Access HandiSoft Evo, you need to connect your HandiSoft desktop data to Access Evo (formerly called Access Workspace). The process to follow depends on whether you use HandiSoft ODB or HandiSoft SQL.

You might need your system administrator or IT professional to assist.
Setup for HandiSoft ODB
To set up Access HandiSoft Evo for HandiSoft ODB, you will:
Download the HandiSoft ODB Data Loader.
Install the Data Loader. To do so, you will need the Security Token which we will email to your administrator. This will connect your HandiSoft data. If you have not received your Security Token, please complete this survey.
Connect your HandiSoft data.
Each task is described below.
Download the HandiSoft ODB Data Loader
To download the Data Loader:
Log in to the computer/server where HandiSoft ODB is installed.
Download the HandiSoft Evo Data Loader:

Install and connect the Data Loader for HandiSoft ODB
To install HandiSoft ODB Data Loader:
On the computer/server where HandiSoft is installed, open Windows Explorer and go to your Downloads folder.
Right-click on the Data Loader zip file then select Properties.
From the General tab, tick Unblock, then click Apply, OK.
Right-click the Data Loader zip file. then select Extract All, then click Extract. The zip file will be extracted to a new folder.
In the new folder location, open \ODB\32Bit, then double-click Run_DataLoaderInstallODBC.bat to run it.
If you can't run the Run_DataLoaderInstallODBC.bat, manually run the DataLoaderSetup.exe and odbcdriver.exe instead.
If asked, Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device, click Yes.
A blue command window is displayed and the installation begins.
When the pop-up message, Please click through the installer is displayed, click OK.
The Access Driver wizard begins. Click Next through the wizard, ensuring to read and agree to the terms of the license agreement when asked.
At Confirm Installation Details, click Install.
When the install wizard finishes installing the driver, click Finish. HandiSoft 32bit Data Loader is now installed.
A pop-up Data Loader screen is displayed. If you don't see the Data Loader pop-up screen, go to Start, Run, type in Data Loader and then double-click ClicData DataLoader to open the screen.
Click the settings icon at the top right of the Data Loader screen to open the settings screen.
Copy and paste the Data Loader Security Token provided via email from the Access Group, into the Security Token field, then click Save.
The application is successfully installed when the DataLoader service status is Running.
Connect your HandiSoft ODB data
To connect your data:
Log in to Access Evo (formerly called Access Workspace).
Click the Access Button and then Products.
Select Data Engine.
The Data Engine tab is displayed. Click the three-line "hamburger menu" on the top-left of the screen and select Data Loaders.
Locate A-aaa - Dataloader - ODB - HandiSoft, then click the settings icon.
Under the General tab, confirm the security token received by email matches, then click Save.
You've now established a connection to your HandiSoft ODB server. Proceed to the next step in your welcome email, or see Configuration Changes.
Set up for HandiSoft SQL
To set up Access HandiSoft Evo for HandiSoft SQL, you will:
Download the HandiSoft SQL Data Loader.

Connect your HandiSoft data.

Download the HandiSoft SQL Evo Data Loader.
Install and connect the Data Loader for HandiSoft SQL
To carry out this task, you'll need your SQL server name, username and password.
To install and connect the Data Loader for HandiSoft SQL:
On the server or computer where HandiSoft is installed, open Windows Explorer and go to your Downloads folder.
Right-click on the Data Loader zip file, then select Properties.
From the General tab, tick Unblock, then click Apply, OK.

In the new folder location, open \SQL\64Bit, then double-click Run_DataLoaderInstaller.bat to run it.

Connect your HandiSoft SQL data
To connect your data:
Log in to Access Evo (formerly called Access Workspace).
Click the Access Button and then Products.
Select Data Engine.
The Data Engine tab is displayed. Click the three-line "hamburger menu" on the top-left of the screen and select Connections.
Click Connections to open SQL Server Connections.
Locate B - aba - Connection - SQL - HandiSoft then click the drop-down arrow at the end of the row and select Properties.
The Data Connections tab is displayed. At the Server field, type the full server name.
Click Authentication on the left-hand menu.
Select an Authentication Type, typically User Authentication. Your system administrator or IT specialist will be able to advise the Authentication Type to choose.
Type in your User and Password, and any necessary fields for your authentication method.
Click Server on the left-hand menu.
Click the drop-down arrow on the Database field. You will see the databases listed on that server, which indicates you have successfully established a connection with your SQL server.
Select your HandiSoft database, then click Save.
You've now established a connection to your HandiSoft SQL server. Proceed to the next step in your welcome email, or see Configuration Changes.
