Pre-filling data is available for tax returns from 1 July as the ATO receives it, with most available by late-July. The pre-filling report can be imported directly into your HandiTax software.

We advise against relying solely on pre-filled information, as it may be incomplete for several reasons:
Timing – The organisation has not yet supplied data or the ATO processing is not complete.
Matching – The ATO could not match the data to your client.
Validation – The data did not pass all processing checks.
You should:
Review the pre-filled data.
Amend the pre-filled data if necessary (information providers must send updated data to the ATO if there is an error)
Add any missing income details.
