To resolve this error, follow the steps below:
Note: This is not applicable in HandiTax 2024 onwards.
Log in to HandiTax and Select the tax return.
Go into the Main Form I.
Scroll to Item 13.
Check the distribution type entered in the middle selection box. Press F1 while in the box for more information.
If a distribution type is selected and you're still seeing the error, check that no fields for another partnership or trust have been completed by mistake. The program will treat this as a separate entity and expect a distribution type code for it as well.
